This piece belonged to Catarina d’Eça, Abbess of the Mosteiro do Lorvão. The fabric of the cape was substituted in the 18th century, however all the original embroidery remains with its exquisite chromatic variations and effects of volume. Under the architectural niches that bear the owner’s coat of arms, are the figures of six saints with the palm leaf of martyrdom. Two of the figures hold an open book, whilst two others hold an inverted arrow.
